Responsibilities

You will be part of the highly collaborative software development team with focus on embedded software. As a software engineer, you will participate in and drive activities such as prototyping, requirement specification, design, implementation, test and integration. To generate ideas and to deliver the right products on time, tight collaboration is needed within and between our project teams. You will also be responsible for driving competence development within your area of expertise.

Required skills

We recruit for attitude and train for skills. With this being a more senior position, you are probably already an experienced software developer with firm knowledge of model based software development using Simulink. Your passion for software modularization, module interface design and hardware abstraction allows you to lead activities within the areas and to further develop CPAC’s skills over time. You probably have experience of working with the AUTOSAR standard and have been developing products based on it. If you do not have all prereqs in place, please convince us about your potential to acquire the skills and be prepared to back up your statements with previous achievements.

You are a team player with strong personal commitment and a will to share responsibilities. You do not accept status quo, you constantly challenge assumptions and strive to improve everything you do. You have the courage to respectfully disagree and are prepared to back your position with evidence. Your educational background is most likely a Master or Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering, computer science or similar. You have no trouble working in both Swedish and English environments.

Desired skills

We use a lot of familiar tools and techniques such as Simulink / TargetLink,, C/C++, automatic code generation, test driven development, SPICE and MISRA-C. Knowledge in these is an advantage but if you’re a software engineer and smart, we expect you to be able to learn new languages and technologies.

Other meriting areas are experience of real time OS and knowledge of protocols such as J1587, J1939, ISO14229 and TEA2+ . If you have been working for some time with development, you probably also know quite a bit about requirement management, documentation of software and testing (planning, methodologies and execution).
